Contribution of Horses to Program
Horses are non-judgmental, gentle, intuitive and willing to please. They encourage non-threatening verbal and non-verbal interaction.
Improve balance, promote strength, improve muscle tone and flexibility, increased coordination, help breathing and circulation, and improve overall fitness.
Learn new skills and implementation, give and take direction, improve judgement and decision making, increase focus, increase ability to carry out new tasks. develop strong wok ethic through time and dedication to caring and working with horses.
Learn to bond with horse and work as a team, foster patience and empathy; learn to cope with frustration and anger, increase self awareness and self esteem; relive depression and anxiety, increased trust and confidence; and develop a sense of accomplishment.
Improve communication skills, develop support systems, increase ability to socialize comfortably, improve ability to identify and control how to express feelings.
