Alcoholics Anonymous, Northern New Jersey

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.

Anger Management & Conflict Resolution Group
Tuesdays at 6pm; Wednesdays at 5pm
IEP Youth Services Inc.

Groups begin the week of August 27th for adolescents ages 13-17 years; Tuesdays at 6pm and Wednesdays at 5pm.  Participants will be divided into two groups based on age, and will meet once weekly for eight weeks at IEP Youth Services, Inc., Freehold.

Anger Management (Adult) Group
Family Resource Center

A 12 week cognitive behavioral anger-management program for adults.  Group will be held on Wednesdays, beginning October 10, 2012, from 5:30pm-6:30pm at the Family Resource Center in Asbury Park.  This group is free to all Asbury Park, Neptune, and Neptune City families.  Enrollment required.

Anxiety and Depression Group (ages 13-16)

Asbury Park Community Unity Club
Last Tuesday of the month

FACT Program (Fathers Are Caregivers Too)
180 Turning Lives Around

A new program specifically for dads/fathers who have been identified by service providers as at high-risk for child abuse or neglect. FACT is a 6-week closed psycho-education group which is facilitated by a licensed counselor experienced in providing specialized parenting programs. Fatherhood Empowerment Program (FEP)

The Fatherhood Empowerment program (FEP) promotes the positive involvement and interaction of fathers with their children in order to become self sufficient and responsible in meeting the needs of their families. 

FICU Support Groups

Support groups that FICU is sponsoring: (1) for teens and will be run by our crisis clinicians (2) for parents and will be run by our in-home therapist.

Grandparent Support Group

The monthly Grandparent Support Group is for those with grandchildren with Asperger's, Autism, PDD-NOS & Other Unique Ways of Being.  Time is from 10am-11am; fee - $5 per person; (dates are displayed on flyer-please click on Grandparent Support Group title).  Location is Annette L Becklund, MSW, LCSW & Associates LLC on 3455 Route 66, Neptune.  Please RSVP by calling 732-292-2929 or via email.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group

Free ongoing weekly support group open to any grandparent caregiver in the Monmouth County area.  Support group meets on Wednesday evenings (beginning April 11, 2012) from 7-9pm at the Monmouth Medical Center Maysie Stroock Pavilion.

Social Skills Saturday Programs

Social Skills Saturday Prorams are offered throughout the school year (not during the summer months).  Nine week sessions begin in October, January, and March.  Location:  Camp Excel Monmouth County, Spring Lake Heights); ages 5-17.  Activities include: group discussion, social skills activity, interactive games, sports, art, specials (cookie, nature, music), special events, and trips.
