LSNJ-LAW is a statewide legal hotline that provides information, advice and referrals to low-income residents of NJ with civil legal problems. (Criminal cases are referred to other resources) Legal Services of NJ coordinates the statewide network of nonprofit legal services programs that provide free legal assistance in civil cases to financially eligible NJ residents Accepts calls from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Mom 2 Mom is a 24 hour, 7 day a week helpline coordinated by UMDNJ-University Behavioral HealthCare. The helpline  features peer support, telephone assessments, a network of referral services and support groups.  Many resources for children with special needs have been established with a focus on advocacy, education and financial support for those loved ones. The missing link however has been the recognition for the needed services for the primary caregiver’s mental health and wellness, specifically a service for mothers.

Monmouth County homeless prevention program helps with past due rents for individuals who receive General Assistance or TANF or SSI. Applicants must show eviction notice and date and amount of last payment.
