Free Parent Event: For Parents of Children with a Diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder

Saturday, November 16, 2019
10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

This brainstorming event is aimed to learn from and inform parents of young children with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. We have a goal to find the gaps in what families need, and what information is missing in this stage of life prior to school entry. Surveys will be given before and after the event, as NJACE is aiming to understand what is missing from families when they first receive a diagnosis, and what information needs to be better conveyed. We aim to provide helpful information on what steps to take upon receiving a diagnosis, and how to navigate the early years.

Experts in research, speech and language, sensory integration, early intervention, insurance policies and issues, and more will be speaking and available to help answer your questions. We aim to provide a holistic view of how to best help your child.
